The Role of Financial Information for Assessing the Financial Status of a Public Organization
Abstract
Public entities have economic and non-economic objectives, which is why we analyze the accounting of public institutions to see what is happening behind the economic component and how the financial resources are allocated to accomplish the non-economic objectives. The analysis of the financial position, based on the indicators of financial balance, liquidity, and solvency, will provide the opportunity to make a financial diagnosis that highlights advantages and opportunities, strong points, and weak points of the state of financial health that public institutions have.
