Abstract

Human resources management in a public company refers to all the activities related to selecting, employing, and involving human resources in achieving the stated public policy objectives.

The human resources audit in state-owned companies serves a crucial purpose. It ensures compliance with all rules related to employee employment within the company and provides effective ways to resolve possible labour conflicts, thereby fostering a harmonious work environment.

Because public financial resources are involved in the activity of the studied company, periodic evaluation of human resource performance is very important. Also, the auditing of this activity must emphasize how the public financial resources and the human resources involved contribute to the fulfilment of the company's public role.

In conclusion, without the implementation of rigorous human resources management doubled by an audit activity carried out in compliance with the norms of ethics and professional deontology, the company's activity may suffer in terms of achieving the objectives for which it was founded, namely, serving the public interest.
