Vocational Counseling - a Solution for the Integration of Young People on the Current Labor Market?
Abstract
Youth unemployment is a quasi-general phenomenon in all societies based on a market economy, and solving the problem is, of course, the responsibility of vocational counseling according to the opinion of the majority of specialists. In our opinion, vocational counseling can and must become a tool intended to support young people in crisis situations due to inadequacy in socio-economic dynamics.
It is a truism that only a qualified workforce can be competitive in the accelerated dynamics registered by the current labor market. Analyzing the quality of young human resources, it is observed that, indeed, their level of training is quite precarious and therefore presents major difficulties in relation to the profile required by employers from different branches of the economy or social life. In conclusion, the current study tries to generate new psycho-pedagogical opportunities in the direction of reconfiguring this niche field which is vocational counseling in accordance with the emerging economic and social life that characterizes the third decade of the 21st century.
