The Fundamental Ethical Principles of the Profession of Legal Advisor
Abstract
Ethics, also known as moral philosophy, is the field of study that explores the concepts of moral right and wrong, as well as the distinction between morally right and wrong. This term can also be associated with any system or theory relating to moral values or principles.
The essential purpose of legal ethics is to maintain the professional integrity and dignity of lawyers and legal advisers, with a view to cultivating a spirit of friendly collaboration, treating clients with honor and fairness, and fulfilling responsibilities to society.
The importance of legal ethics becomes evident in situations where lawyers and other legal professionals face conflicts of interest between clients and personal interests, requiring ethical guidance to balance these interests and promote the principles of good faith.
Therefore, the study aims to address and analyze the fundamental ethical principles of the profession of legal advisor, in the light of the need to know and respect them in professional practice.
