The Sharpening of Ethnic and Religious Conflicts between Communities and their Impact on International Relations in the 21st Century
Abstract
Contemporary society is torn by numerous conflicts based on a series of themost unusual motivations. Within the communities but also between thecommunities, although tolerance and respect towards others should prevail, weare witnessing a recrudescence of the ethnic and religious factor in the speeches ofpolitical leaders and not only that. Democracy and education, good practices andreligion promote the acceptance of those who are somewhat different, but theadversities and intensity with which certain states act on the international politicalscene is worrying, especially when appeal is made to the ethnic and religiousargument.
