Research of Road Traffic Accidents
Abstract
The development of car transport, the rapid growth of the car fleet, have determined, objectively, the intensification of concerns in order to ensure the safety of road traffic. These concerns are all the more necessary since the increase in the number of accidents is relatively directly proportional to the increase in the motorization index, with the improvement of the vehicle's performance, first of all the speed of travel, an element that has priority in the causes of road accidents.
Starting from the definition of the accident as a random and unforeseen event that causes an accident or causes the injury, mutilation or death of a being, we find that two important factors are generally involved in a road traffic accident: the vehicle and the man in his multiple capacities: driver car, passenger, pedestrian, cyclist.
So, road traffic is a phenomenon whose existence competes for several component elements, the most important of which are: the person, the vehicle, the road and the legislation corresponding to the field or which has influence on it. The normal development of road traffic requires the existence of a typology determined by relationships between the component elements. The disturbances that appeared in the interaction between these elements constitute the materialization of the alteration of the relations between the factors that compete for the realization of road traffic as a dynamic phenomenon of social life.
