The Relationship between Uncertainty and Renewable Energy in the USA
Abstract
Uncertainty affects the economic system in all areas, like production, distribution, and resource allocation, increasing people's standard of living and, at the same time, making it difficult to reach the goal of leaving no one behind. This study evaluates the impact of different kinds of uncertainties on energy consumption in the USA. The analysis uses data from 1985 to 2022 and applies unit root tests and time-varying causal relationships. The findings of our study, in line with Ayad et al. (2023), Andrei et al. (2024) and Dilanchiev et al. (2024) suggest that these uncertainties must be considered when stakeholders create new directions for implementing the energy transition process and ensure environmental quality.
