An Evaluation of the Net-zero Transition in Australia
Abstract
This study offers a fresh perspective on the relationship between CO2 emissions, technological innovation, and renewable energy consumption in Australia by employing a wavelet analysis. Several quantitative methods were employed to explore the unique characteristics of the dataset obtained from 2000 to 2021. The results align with (Abban et al., 2023; Nuta et al., 2024; Nuta, 2023; Zhang et al., 2023), indicating a negative link between renewable energy and innovation and a direct and positive relationship between non-renewable energy and carbon emission. Policy recommendations were suggested for governments and other stakeholders based on our findings.
