Prolegomena for a University of the Future
Abstract
What is a university in the first decades of the 21st century? The reaction of many - in relation to the question above - is reduction. In a general way, paraphrasing Professor Pânzaru, it can be stated that from a quasi-unique university model in the 50s of the last century, in the internal and external educational environment marked by uncertainty of all kinds, we have reached dozens of model universities. Is there a European university model radically different from the others in the wider world or are we on the road to absolute globalization in the field of tertiary education as well? It is a second major query that the present study attempts to answer conclusively.
