Romanian Diaspora - A Non-state International Actor
Abstract
As a result of the migration phenomena, accentuated in an increasingly globalized world, the Romanian diaspora has distinct characteristics. How is the potential of this important part of the Romanian nation appreciated and valued, which is the legal framework and the objectives of the Romanian state regarding maintaining ties and supporting the preservation, development and expression of the ethnic, linguistic, cultural and spiritual identity of the Romanians outside the borders are some of the aspects that we try to emphasize in our approach. The conclusions of our analysis are based on the recent statistical data and reports of the UN and OECD, the updated legislation in the field and a vast bibliography that addresses the issue.
