Fiscal Morality and Environmental Responsibility
Abstract
The decision of individuals regarding the payment of taxes, although it seems predetermined, can be distorted in the presence of certain factors such as education, social and cultural values, religion, and trust in the government . Tax compliance could also be correlated with the decision to comply with environmental regulations. If taxation is perceived as an unethical tool by taxpayers in their relationship with a government they perceive as corrupt or irresponsible; the same could happen with the attitude toward compliance with environmental regulations use the level of carbon emissions to discuss environmental degradation. Lately, recent. Our study proposes the analysis of how the level of fiscal morality in various states, as measured in the specialized literature, can influence compliance with environmental regulations and the measures that mitigate to ensure the quality of the environment. A number of recommendations will be generated from the results of our analysis.
